Ideal Hostel Madrid is a hidden gem in the heart of the city, perfect for anyone keen on exploration rather than luxury. My wife and I spent a weekend here, and while the location couldn't be more central-with attractions like Mercado San Miguel just a short walk away-there's a word of caution for those heading out after dark due to some unsavory characters nearby. The accommodations themselves were modest but clean; we found the beds and pillows surprisingly comfortable, making for a restful night after long days of sightseeing. The staff were incredibly friendly and patient with our disorganized travel plans, truly enhancing our stay. If you're looking for a base to immerse yourself in Madrid's history and culture without breaking the bank, this is the spot! Just be mindful of your surroundings when the sun goes down.
